About Our Founder

Fragrant Village & Fruitful Wellness Collective was born from a legacy of faith, compassion, and unwavering service to the community.

Our story begins with Fragrance of the Spirit Ministry, founded by the late and beloved Dr. Bendetta Perry. Driven by her passion for ministry, theater, and community involvement, Dr. Perry dedicated her life to uplifting others, bringing hope, encouragement, and opportunity to individuals and families throughout Southern California and beyond. She believed every person deserved to feel seen, valued, and loved, and she devoted herself to making a lasting difference in the lives of those she served.

Before her passing, Dr. Perry intentionally prepared her family to carry forward the mantle of her legacy, entrusting her mission of service and ministry to future generations—especially her granddaughters. Although her physical presence is deeply missed, the spirit of her work continues to guide everything we do.

As the family adjusted to life without Dr. Perry, her eldest granddaughter, Ariyah Perry, recognized an opportunity to build upon the foundation her grandmother had established. While pursuing her education in Psychology and Social Work, Ariyah envisioned expanding the ministry's impact by integrating mental health, wellness, culturally sensitive care, and community-based support alongside the values of faith, compassion, and service that had always been at its heart.

That vision became Fragrant Village & Fruitful Wellness Collective.

Today, we honor Dr. Perry's legacy by serving individuals and families through a whole-person approach to wellness. We believe that true healing extends beyond physical health to include emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. Whether connecting individuals to essential resources, supporting behavioral health, strengthening families, or fostering community partnerships, our mission remains rooted in the same love and dedication that inspired our founder.

For our family, continuing Dr. Bendetta Perry's legacy is more than a responsibility, it is a privilege. Every life we touch is a reflection of the seeds she planted, and every act of service carries forward her belief that compassionate people can transform communities.

We are committed to ensuring that her legacy not only lives on but continues to grow, empowering healthier families, stronger communities, and brighter futures for generations to come.

Our roots are in service. Our purpose is in healing. Our legacy is in the lives we touch.
